Lead .Net Developer

The Goal is seeking a .Net Lead for our client in Arlington, VA.

Our client is looking for someone to lead the development team which supports their Partnership Accounting (PA) platform. You will lead technology development efforts for the PA tech team which entails direct management of internal and external development resources across various IT projects. You will work closely with other internal teams, internal clients, and contractors throughout the entire SDLC. You will also be responsible for ensuring production support issues are addressed and remediated with detailed root cause analysis to prevent repeated issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with business product owner and key project stakeholders to identify technical concerns, provide level of effort estimates, and clarify functional requirements
  • Analyze and research complex technical issues, identify alternative solutions and recommendations, and contribute to the platform’s technical architecture
  • Innovation – Identify strategic technology capabilities and quantify the impact of deploying new processes and tools for improved time to market and platform quality
  • Manage, mentor and train development resources; perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Work with other development teams to establish and improve best practices, documentation, and coding standards


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years developing software solutions using .NET
  • Minimum of 5 years developing using a front-end JavaScript framework (ExtJS, Angular, Bootstrap, etc.)
  • Minimum of six years developing software solutions using or another high-level programming languages
  • Experience with common software engineering architecture patterns (service-oriented architecture, map/reduce, ETL, data warehousing)
  • Experience with technical documentation creation
  • Experience writing automated unit tests and continuous integration
  • Experience documenting business processes
  • Experience managing technical resources
  • Bachelors from an accredited school in a quantitative discipline, required.

Additional Attributes:

  • Proficient understanding of data structures, algorithmic efficiency, database systems, multithreading, garbage collection/memory management, web services, and object-oriented design patterns
  • Basic knowledge of networking/website infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTPS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Financial Services, Venture Capital/Private Equity industry preferred
  • Familiarity with Entity Frameworks and Inversion of Control Frameworks (Spring.NET, NHibernate)
  • Experience with a financial accounting package is preferred: ie: Geneva, Investran, Eagle, Multifond
  • Experience with Agile Project Management Methodologies preferred
  • Experience working with a version control system (TFS preferred)
  • Familiarity with SQL (MS SQL Server preferred)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed PC skills and proficiency with MS Office
  • Advanced degree in computer science or systems engineering
